Additional welding qualifications

From August 2026 FIT extends its qualification base with:

Inspection and certification per DIN 2303 Q1/Q2
Inspection and certification per DIN EN ISO 3834-2

This deliberately complements the existing certification landscape with requirements for safety-critical and welding-demanding applications.

Why we don't hold every special approval in stock

Industry-specific approvals are often bound to concrete applications, component groups, materials, processes, sites and inspection requirements.

An approval without sufficient real application is not always meaningful.

That is why we look at additional approvals on a project-specific basis.

When a market, a customer or a component program offers solid potential, FIT can build the matching qualification and certification path in a targeted way.

FIT has already proven multiple times that complex certification requirements can be implemented successfully in different regulated industries.

Part Recovery does not automatically mean choosing the most elaborate approval route.

Especially for obsolete spare parts, repairs, single parts or small batch sizes, an application-appropriate approval path can be far more sensible than a full new-approval process.

What matters is not maximum process load.

What matters is that the chosen path fits the function, criticality, application and evidence requirements of the component.

A risk-appropriate approval path can be more purposeful, faster and still fully compliant.

For recovery projects this is usually more meaningful than a broad but unused certification portfolio.
